RT Journal Article SR 00 ID 10.1016/j.econlet.2013.04.006 A1 Bocquého, Géraldine A1 Jacquet, Florence A1 Reynaud, Arnaud T1 Reversal and magnitude effects in long-term timepreferences: Results from a field experiment JF Economics Letters YR 2013 FD 2013-07 VO vol. 120 IS n° 1 SP 108 OP 111 K1 Time preferences K1 Experimental economics K1 Discounting K1 Farmers K1 France AB We use a multiple price list approach with real payments to elicit long-term time preferences on a sample of French farmers. Elicited individual discount rates vary with the time delay, which supports the existence of a reversal effect in long-term time preferences, and increase with rewards, which contradicts the usual magnitude effect finding.
