Abstract

ASTRACT : Arab Springs and Revolutions: toward a Renewal of the Separation of Powers ?The theory of the separation of powers, taken in its original meaning of the dispersion of powers, appears to have acquired a new theoretical and practical usefulness with the unfolding of the Arab Springs. Yet, while a desire for a differentiated democratic organization of power has been palpable, notably in Egypt, Tunisia and Morocco, the will of the peoples has not been instantaneously translated into a judicial and constitutional system. Rather, one observes systems of blurred and performative separation together with a provisional concentration of powers.
